Business Experience.  Matt Carreon's work experience lends itself to providing the leadership and business acumen the position needs.  Carreon currently is the Vice President, Business Development at Trillium Engineering. As Vice President, Carreon is responsible for all facets of sales, strategy, marketing and business generation for the company.

           

Prior to Trillium, Carreon worked at Boeing for 9 years responsible for P-8 and KC-46 international sales.

           

Service Before Self. A decorated combat veteran who understands service to his country.  Carreon served nine years in the U.S. Navy accumulating over 3000 flight hours.  While in the Navy, Carreon flew in combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and conducted intelligence operations in the Pacific, Southern, African, and European Area of Operations. Carreon received numerous awards for his actions including the Navy Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Air Medal (7), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and a letter of commendation from GEN McCrystal, Commander, Joint Special Operations Command.


Focus on Families. Matt Carreon is married to Dr. Jerianne Montgomery who works at Maple Valley Eye Care and they have 2 wonderful boys, ages 16 and 9, who attend Tahoma High School and Tahoma Elementary School.  The family is heavily involved in sports, as Dr. Montgomery is on the Tahoma Junior Bears Board and Carreon is currently the 4th grade junior bears football coach.  When not watching their sons play sports, they love to spend their time at Lake Chelan fishing or going crabbing or clamming on the coast. 

           

Education. Carreon has lived in Tahoma for 11 years.  He is a native of Arizona and received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy and received his Master’s in Business Administration from University of Washington Foster School of Business.  He also sits on the board for the Tahoma School District.
